The Coach house is situated in the Tanat Valley on the Shropshire / Powys border. Nearby attractions this area has to offer are Llanraeadre Waterfall, Powys Castle, Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala. The Ironbridge Gorge museum is also full of history and a great day out for all the family. Snowdonia National Park is less than an hour away with its majestic mountains and cascading waterfalls. Attractions include white water rafting and canoeing. Sailing and Tennis can be enjoyed within the Berwyn mountains and the more leisurely pursuits such as golf and fishing. This area is also a renowned mountain bike hot spot with a varied range of challenging routes for the enthusiasts. The keen walker can walk from the property and maps are provided. There are some good testing cycle rides for the enthusiasts and good, safe storage within The Coach House for cycles. Highly recommended days out are the regular meetings at Chester Races or Bangor on Dee Races. Also view the countryside differently on the steam train at nearby Welshpool, or travel lazily along the canal on the various barges available.
There are many National Trust properties nearby providing a more cultural experience. Chirk and Powis Castle, Erddig and not to mention the historical sites of Whittington Castle and Ellesmere. One of the area's biggest and most popular car boot sales takes place every Sunday morning at Chirk.
The nearby town of Oswestry has speciality shops and eateries jostling with the market stalls and provides a wonderful trip out. There are many good traditional pubs and restaurants nearby that are highly recommended. There are also many local interests that should keep the youngsters amused. There are local swimming baths in Welshpool and Wrexham which provide great fun with wave machines and slides.
On the ground floor The Coach House has a large beamed living room with wood burning stove and a well equipped kitchen dining room with quarry tiled floor. At the opposite end of the property to the lounge is a twin-bedded room with en suite wet room and WC. This bedroom has easy disabled and wheel chair access making the entire ground floor completely ramp and step free.
On the first floor are two double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom comprising WC and bath with an over-bath shower. Two twin-bedded rooms and a shower room with WC. Duvet, linen and towels are provided for all guests plus the bathrooms and kitchen are supplied with complimentary soaps, shower gels and basic cleaning products. The Coach House has two double bedrooms and three twin bedded rooms but the three twin rooms can be made into doubles if required.
The property has full central heating plus a wood burner in the lounge. Initial wood for the wood burner is provided and additional logs can be supplied at cost.The lounge has a TV, a DVD Player and a music centre.
The fully equipped kitchen has ample crockery and utensils and includes a microwave, dishwasher and American fridge freezer. There is also an automatic washing machine, tumble dryer and hair dryer. Cots and high chairs can also be provided upon request, subject to availability. Rentals are inclusive of all heating and electricity.
Outside is the enclosed garden with patio furniture and barbecue and ample parking for cars. There is also garage space and outbuildings for storage of cycles, luggage and walking equipment. The Coach House provides a paddling pool which can be set up on request. Shops are 4 miles away and the nearest pub and restaurant is one mile away.
Dogs are welcome and plastic dog beds of different sizes are available.

Weekly rates for self catering are from £850 to £2800 (Prices may vary during holiday periods at the owners discretion).
